A Simple Strategy to Increase Your Productivity Now

For the longest people have asked me how do I do it all. Manage my client load, create new content to stay relevant on social media, and juggle the tasks of new motherhood.

The answer..

I don’t try to do everything at one time and when I am working on projects I am laser focused. I don’t multi-task.

The truth is I segment my time. I have started compartmentalizing my days to do more in less time by minimizing the distractions.

Today I want to introduce to you three different types of days that will help you increase your productivity.

  1. Free Days
  2. Focus Days
  3. Buffer Days

Free days are a 24 hour period where you allow yourself to step away from the business and refresh. You take this time to wind down and focus on activities that will allow you to regain mental clarity. Sometimes this means doing nothing.

Focused days are a 24 hour period where you spend 80% of your time on the activities that create results for your business. You can refer to focused days as GAME days. Focus days are designed for you to implement aka take action. You should be in full execution mode on your focused days. Some Example of a focus day: You give a presentation that you have been working on, host an event, and or close a deal.

Buffer days are a 24 hour period where you handle the details, planning, and prep work. Example if you have an upcoming speech, webinar, product launch, event or, etc. you would use the buffer days to do all the grunt work that is required so that you can implement on your focused days.  Some examples of grunt work on a buffer day: creating graphics to promote your upcoming event, writing an email sequence to nurture your prospective clients, conducting research, finding a space to host your upcoming event, etc. I think you get the picture.

To get a handle on your day to day schedule. Start being mindful of how long it takes you to do each task. Time yourself then I want to encourage you to start establishing routines in every area of your life. You must take into account how long it takes you to do your daily essentials. For example preparing for bed, writing out your to-do list, getting your children to bed, dressing for work, etc. It is important that you are mindful of how long it takes you to do the essential task that you are required to do daily.

When you can get your daily agenda down to a science, then you can address your self-care needs then that opens up space for you to focus on your business. It is vital that you allow space in your life to balance the demands of growing a business and taking proper care of yourself.

I looking forward to seeing what you create now that you can create a little structure in your life. Need help with this? Book A Strategy Session

This is AWESOME!!! What I like best & need to implement NOW is your suggestion to write down “HOW LONG” it will take me to complete a task…which has been much slower than before the brain injury. I’ve already got ‘To Do’ lists out the wahzoo. Thanks a million WNA!❤
